The Cressington Hotel, Blackpool

The hotel's location was great, near the center of Blackpool, providing everything I needed on a budget. However, the rooms were dated and uncomfortable, with a noisy shower and broken en-suite facilities. The service was friendly but lacked attention to cleanliness and overall livability inside the hotel.

The hotel felt more like a pig sty than an accommodation, with filthy rooms and unhygienic conditions, a tiny triple room, and overall lack of cleanliness. Service was lacking, with no card machine, unresponsive staff, and overall unprofessionalism. The location was disappointing, in a backstreet with potential clamp warnings and a strong smell of cigarettes. The dining experience was appalling, with cold, limited offerings and a delayed, unsatisfactory breakfast.

I will never stay here ever again. The place was just so dirty; the carpets were never washed, and the room smelled moldy which made my pregnant partner very uncomfortable. Poor communication between staff members added to the unpleasant experience. However, the beds were so uncomfortable that we had to sleep on top of the quilt to avoid the springs coming through the mattress. We didn't even stay for breakfast due to the children not being happy with the cleanliness.

The hotel offers basic double bed rooms that are nice and admirable for their hard-working staff. However, the response from the manageress was lacking, especially when we needed assistance while in the shower. The service, on the other hand, was lovely and accommodating, though there might be room for improvement in the future. The location was good, with easy access to Blackpool for the weekend and convenient places like the seafront nearby. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with a big dining area but also issues like weak coffee and attitude from the staff. Overall, a mixed experience with both positive and negative aspects to consider.

The hotel is in a convenient location close to the promenade, offering great Wi-Fi access in-room and private bathrooms. The rooms, though small, barely fit a double and single bed with limited hanging area for clothes. The service was a mix of friendly staff and concerning encounters, making the stay memorable. The dining area was crowded, with long waiting times for a table, but the staff tried to make up for it. Overall, a decent option for the price point.
